What a sweep covers in Naples
A sweep combines electronic detection with a hands-on physical inspection. We check for radio frequency transmitters, hidden cameras whether they transmit or record to local storage, listening devices, and GPS trackers on vehicles. The physical inspection carries as much weight as the electronics, because a camera recording to an SD card emits nothing for a receiver to find. Outlets, fixtures, furnishings and vehicle mounting points are examined directly.

Why Naples work looks different
Collier County has two features that change the risk picture, and they compound each other. The first is seasonal occupancy. A large share of Naples property sits empty for months at a time while being maintained by people who hold keys: property managers, cleaners, landscapers, contractors, and staff who turn over between seasons. A house that is unoccupied for five months is a house where installing something takes no particular skill and carries very little risk of being interrupted.
The second is that Naples concentrates high value private matters. Family offices, wealth management, private law practices and contested divorces with real money attached all sit in a market where the parties frequently share advisors, clubs and social circles. What a sweep is, and what it is not
A sweep addresses devices planted in a space or a vehicle. It is not phone or computer forensics, and it is not a promise about the future. A clean result describes the space on the day it was swept. Anyone promising more than that is selling reassurance rather than countermeasures. What you get is a documented inspection by a licensed investigator, with findings you can act on.
If a device is found, we document it to evidentiary standards rather than simply removing and discarding it. In Florida, installing a tracking device on another person’s vehicle without consent is generally a crime under section 934.425 of the Florida Statutes, so what we find may be evidence. It is the single most common reason Naples properties get swept. An empty house with a maintained access list gives anyone on that list unhurried, unobserved time inside. Sweeping after a season, or after a change in staff, property manager or contractor, is a reasonable precaution rather than a paranoid one.
Is it legal for someone to put a GPS tracker on my car in Florida?
Generally no. Section 934.425 of the Florida Statutes makes it unlawful to install a tracking device on another person’s property without consent, with limited exceptions, and since October 1, 2025 that offense is a third degree felony. A device found on your vehicle is potential evidence and is documented as such.
